Why Lalbaba Basmati Steam?
Because it doesn’t retain extra moisture, each grain stays separate — perfect for layered dum cooking.
Ingredients:
• 2 cups Lalbaba Basmati Steam Rice
• 500g chicken (medium pieces)
• 2 potatoes (halved & fried)
• 1 boiled egg (optional)
• 1 cup curd
• Ginger-garlic paste
• Biryani masala, whole spices
• Saffron milk or kewra water
• Ghee & oil
Method:
1. Wash and boil rice uncovered till 80% done. Drain and set aside.
2. Marinate chicken with curd, spices, and salt (1 hour).
3. Cook chicken till 70% done.
4. Layer rice + chicken + potato + saffron milk.
5. Cover tightly and cook on dum (low flame) 20 minutes.
6. Rest for 10 minutes and fluff gently.
